Dear fellow adventurers,
We thank you for your patience in waiting for details of where and how to meet on Tuesday! In this yak I have included all the details our meeting spot and how to get there, and in the days following we will have a full orientation that will answer all your questions and set us up for the rest of the program.
We will be meeting at 9am on Tuesday 22nd August. The place is called Shechen Guesthouse (attached to Shechen Monastery), in the Mahankhel area of Boudha (a suburb of Kathmandu).
The guesthouse is set in beautiful gardens, has a vegetarian cafe, and a small library that we can use as a meeting space. The guesthouse is a social enterprise that supports the living costs for the monks in the monastery next door. We will be staying there for two nights.
As all of you will already be in Kathmandu, the easiest way would be for you to get a taxi to Boudha. Many taxi drivers will know Shechen as it is a large and famous monastery. If not, you can head towards the Mahankhel area of Boudha and get the taxi driver to call the guesthouse on 01-5178209. Amrit and I will be waiting to welcome you in the cafe downstairs.
Please feel free to email or call with any final questions in the run up to the program! Looking forward to meeting you all,
Claire & Amrit
