The whole group has settled into their homestays and dived straight in to their independent study projects with master artisans. Some students are learning the meditative art of paubha painting, others are crafting jewelry from silver and precious stones, and others are learning metalwork or observing a business making woolen goods. Although we have spent such a short time with the families, it’s clear to see that in the last few days we have built strong friendships. It’s hard to believe that tomorrow will be the last day of learning and sharing with these amazing mentors. Fortunately, tomorrow evening we are planning a party to celebrate with all the families and speakers who have made the last few days so memorable – so watch out for photos!
