We can barely believe that our time at the ashram has already nearly come to an end. We have meditated, chanted and practiced yoga. We have learned about subjects as diverse as philosophy, organic farming and Nepali dancing. We have avidly discussed the topics of foreign aid, voluntourism and child trafficking. Along with others in this community, we also devoted time to a simple practice of karma yoga – helping in the library, the kitchen or the cow shed. Yesterday we went on a long hike into the nearby hills to look out over the Kathmandu valley.
Tomorrow we head into our final day, which will be spent in the medieval town of Bhaktapur for Transference. We look forward to a little bit of time to slow down and make meaning from this full and adventure-packed trip!
