A Walk to Phyang Monastery

This 16th century monastery on a mountain top was founded by a lama from Mount Kailash, who came to Ladakh to cure King Tashi Namgyal from Leprosy. The view is breathtaking and grand.

My personal desire to share daily photos with the Yak readers has been severely hindered by the lack of internet connectivity in Ladakh. Whenever possible, however, I will try to share photos of our group as we travel through some of these incredible places.

Julley from Leh!
