Yesterday I went downtown to do a little local traveling as if I were on a Dragons trip; part of my re-entry plan! There’s so much of DC I simply haven’t explored. Under bright blue skies, I ended up at the Martin Luther King Jr Memorial, just off the National Mall, nestled against the tidal basin. It’s a spare, peaceful, beautiful, inviting space; perfect for contemplating the wisdom and challenge of Dr. King’s words.
The first quote I saw made me think of Dragons:
If we are to have peace on earth, our loyalties must become ecumenical rather than sectional, our loyalties must transcend our race, our tribe, our class, and our nation, and this means we must develop a world perspective.
Powerful. Wishing you all a peaceful re-entry from your various travels and weeks, and hoping we can all support each other in deepening our world perspective! Peace.
