This morning we departed from Sundarijal (“Beautiful Waters”) on a 3-night, 46km “mini-trek” through the Shivapuri National Forest which makes up the north rim of the Kathmandu Valley.
Yesterday we had an amazing time exploring the area around Boudha, the largest Buddhist stupa in Nepal. We are excited to get out of dusty Kathmandu again for the fresh air of rural Nepal.
Today we will be hiking 11km over the Shivapuri ridge to Chisapani (“Cold Water”), testing out our gear and further developing team building skills in anticipation of our 18-day high altitude Maha-Trek in October.
Due to the nature of the Nature, we may not be able to post for a few days, but hopefully we will be sharing some epic Himalayan views soon!
