Arrival details!

Dear A&A Group B Students,

Soon you all will be meeting up in Miami and flying together to meet your instructor team at El Alto International Airport. We’re super excited to meet you all and we wanted to give you some important information to ensure your trip goes smoothly.

When you arrive in Miami head to the departure level and check into your flight to Bolivia  (American Airlines Flight #922 at 10:35pm). Here you will be met by a representative from Dragons, Miriam Payne, who will help you and the rest of the group with the check in process.
Once you arrive in El Alto (El Alto is the city right outside of La Paz where the airport is located) exit the plane and go through the immigration/customs process as a group. First you’ll need to present your Bolivian visa to the immigration officials, and then collect your bags and pass through customs (it’s possible you’ll have your bag searched at this point). Once everyone is finished with immigration and customs walk out the door immediately after the customs station. There you will find your instructor team waiting for you! From there we’ll hop in a bus and make our way to our orientation site in Coroico (about a 4 hour drive). We’ll arrive at the orientation site, settle in and give everyone some time to recharge before officially starting our adventure.
If you have any questions please post them here on the yak board or send us an email at [email protected]
See you soon!
