Hola compañeros!

New experiences, new people, new cultures and a new language – to jump out of my comfort zone – these are my main reasons to join this program. My name is Luis and I just turned 18.

Well, I am German, born and raised in the beautiful town of Hamburg, in the North (more rain than London and more bridges than Venice). I have an elder brother and a younger sister, and I gladly took on the role, as the reliable child. The other two are quite clumsy. I love sports, but I don’t play soccer: I play field hockey since I was five. In Winter I like to ski and in Summer I love to do water sports (no comparison to Kevin – lacking waves nearby, I do wakeboarding/sailing). In the rest of my time, I like to read  and to do photography, and to keep some bees.

I just finished high school in July and always wanted to study „Business,“ which I will start in about one year,  but until then, I will use my gap year to do some interesting traveling and learning, starting with you folks in Miami. I am very much looking forward to meeting you, but first I have to find out, how I will get all the stuff into my backpack.

Hast la vista!
