Hi fellow travellers! I am Mark Lamendola. My family calls me Markie. I am from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I can’t believe our adventure begins in only a week. I am so excited to get know all of you over the next couple months.

As for me, I just graduated from Mount Lebanon Highschool. Basketball has been a huge part of my life since I was little, I played in high school and I am going to continue to play at Washington and Lee University next year! I love chemistry and I hope to study that in college.

I sometimes play around with and make things out of silver and silver clay so I would be interested in following a silversmith or some type of metal artist for my ISP. In the online seminar, they mentioned an ISP that was Indonesian knife making which seems really cool too.

I have 3 siblings, one older brother Michael, one younger brother Charlie, and a baby sister Kate (she’s 12 now).  They are all super fun to be around and I am going to miss them so much.  One of the things my family loves to do is go fishing. We try to fish as much as we can and every family vacation revolves around where and how will we be able to fish. From fishing for trout in Colorado to fishing for sharks in Florida, I think fishing has certainly made me more adventurous. So, I am super excited for our final homestay with the sea nomadic Bajau community!

When I am not fishing or playing basketball, I love Marvel Comics. I enjoy all of the Marvel movies, T.V. shows, and netflix series. I even collect some of the original comic books. When I listen to music, I enjoy country music and in particular Zac Brown Band.

I am excited about our adventure together!! See everyone soon!
