Hi everyone!

My name is Corinne, and I’m from Chicago. I just graduated from Fenwick High School, and after my gap year, I will be attending the University of Richmond in Virginia where I, for now, plan on studying neuroscience. I am so excited to have the opportunity to travel and explore new places, especially ones off the beaten path.

A little bit about myself: I come from a family of six; I have 3 older brothers and a 10 month old dog named Brandi. The picture I shared is of my brother and I attending one of last year’s World Series games. I love ice cream, thought provoking movies, and a good book when I have the time to read. I love listening to all types of music and attending concerts. I most recently went to Lollapalooza, which is a summer festival favorite for all of my friends and me. All four years of high school, I played tennis and continue to play for fun now. I also ride horses competitively, so most of my time is taken up with training and travelling to compete. I have three horses of my own:)

I always knew I wanted to take a gap year because it seemed like the most logical time in my life to essentially pick up and leave to discover more about the world and myself. I definitely love to travel (I just returned from a week in Spain) and push my personal boundaries. I have a feeling that this program will do just that. I am interested in doing a medical focused ISP but am definitely tempted by cooking ISP – I am a foodie! I’m nervous about not becoming proficient enough in the new language to communicate well but always loved the thought of being one of those people who can speak multiple languages, so I’ll give it my best shot!

Excited to meet all of you!
