What’s up! My name is Briana Frost and I am 18 years old. It still feels surreal that this amazing adventure is (almost) here. I am from the Bay Area in California, and I chose to take a gap semester before heading off to college at the start of next year. I found myself looking into Where There Be Dragons through a teacher at the high school I graduated from, who, by the way, had nothing but spectacular things to say about these programs. Throughout my entire life I have been interested in not only traveling the world but immersing myself into the cultures of new and unknown places, and learning new languages. I only speak English fluently right now, but I hope I hone in my Spanish speaking skills that I have gained in high school as the semester progresses. I love to cook, and I am excited to hopefully learn how to make some delicious dishes in Bolivia and Peru, and then be able to cook them for my friends and family back home. Making the choice to press pause on my school education and having the support system within my family to make this decision is not a path nor privilege I want to take for granted. For that I will be eternally grateful. With that said, besides the immense amount of packing/planning I have yet to do, I am beyond ready to meet all of you guys and begin this journey head on. THIS is going to be mind blowing.
