Hi Jane, and others who might be wondering: on this particular issue, it’s best to talk to your doctor about what makes most sense for each region of Indonesia that we will be traveling to, as the risk differs from place to place, and come up with a plan together. There are also “Travel Doctors” who know more detailed information about health abroad, and you can consider consulting with a travel doctor in person or on the phone, though this certainly not a requirement. The truth is, everyone takes a different approach!
