Trek!

Hola friends and family!

As of yesterday morning, orientation has come to a close and the next phase of our course has begun. We spent all yesterday planning, purchasing, packing, and in many other ways preparing for our first trek! For the next five day we will be enjoying the beauty of the Cordillera Real and the company of one another.

We hope you’ve been enjoying our Yaks so far; however, as you might expect, we won’t be carrying any Yak-capable devices with us into the high Andean backcountry. Moreover, we are looking forward to the disconnected time to connect with the present moments, environments, and people. So, over the next week, you can expect the occasional short update from Julianne – we’ll be texting her from our satellite device daily – followed by a rush of communication beginning when we return to town on the afternoon of the 26th 🙂

Wish us good weather!

– Brian
