I am from crowded streets, loud cars, and bright lights, but also green grass and crystal clear creeks with freezing cold water. I am from sticky sap and sticky subway cars. I am from Jewish friends, Catholic relatives and agnostic parents.
That is where I am from. Where I am is thousands of feet above the sea.
I am in busier streets, louder cars, and lights that flicker from inconsistent power. I am in Buddhist temples and Stupas, but I am also in jungles, dog filled streets and tea houses that serve more milk tea than I can drink.
I am far from the place I have called home, but I am thrilled to make a home in this new and unfamiliar country.
