Balamchaur reflections

I find an old Gurung man waiting by a water spout. He looks up at me then returns his gaze to the silvery jug that the spout struggles to fill. The flow of water slows, sputters and eventually stops. The jug only half filled, the man looks at me, shoots a quick glance at the spout and rolls his eyes. Funny to see yourself in a man who had been born halfway around the world.
