Reaching the top of the trail

Hi friends and families

I have heard from the group on their trek, and all their news is fantastic! Everyone is doing well and is happy and healthy. The day before yesterday, the whole group set out to summit the peak that is the highest point in the area. At 16900 ft, it really feels like the roof of the world. Every single member of the group made it to the top, which is an incredible achievement.

The group went over the pass and have now started to descend into the valley of Helambu. It is the mid point of the course and the team are taking some time to reflect on everything they have done and achieved so far on the trip – which I’m sure you’ll agree is an enormous amount. They will be back in internet range by the end of the month, and I’m certain students and instructors will have plenty of reflections to share on the yak board, so please check back in next week!

With love from the mountains
