Hello! My name is Maggie Tattersfield, and I am a senior at Harpeth Hall. At Harpeth Hall, I am President of the Mock Trial team, and I plan on pursuing a pre-law track in college. I am an aspiring ceramicist, and I love wheel-throwing bowls, cups, and plates. Last Winterim, I interned in the Metro Government Department of General Services in the Sustainability Division. I am a cook at a restaurant called SLOCO (Sustainable, Local, Organic, Community Oriented) in 12 South, and I have worked there since the summer. I have been a Girl Scout since Kindergarten, and I am a member of the Global Scholars Program at Harpeth Hall.
I am unbelievably excited to embark on this adventure to India. This trip will be full of first experiences for me: first time in India, first time in Asia, and first time in a country that the primary language spoken is not English. I was born in England and lived there for a brief part of my childhood, and I have traveled to British Columbia, but other than that, I have spent most of my life in the United States.
I hope to learn about other cultures on this trip, and, in doing so, learn more about myself. I am excited about visiting the Vatsalya School. I look forward to getting to know my classmates better. I think this trip will allow me to experience something so foreign to my daily routine, and I am excited about the adventures ahead.
