Rajasthan Itinerary through 12/22

Dear Friends and Family,

After a long train journey from Varanasi, the BYIndia group arrived safely in Udaipur, Rajasthan on the evening of 12/12. We will encourage students to begin posting reflections on their Rajasthan adventures here on the yak board. For now, below is their updated itinerary from 12/12 through 12/22. Please stay tuned for more information and travel details!

  • From 12/12 to 12/16 the group will be located in Udaipur city and will be staying at a local guest house. Staff have been working hard to develop an engaging itinerary for the BYIndia group and students will be given opportunities to interact with and learn from local NGO’s and community leaders, as well as local activists and thinkers, artists, etc. Students will also be allotted several hours per day to work remotely for their Varanasi-based service sites.
  • From 12/17 to 12/21 the group will base out of Kotri Village, a rural village located between Udaipur and Jodhpur. This community stay will give students exposure to village life in rural Rajasthan. The group will stay in a ‘Heritage House’ which is a part homestay, part guest house. Kotri is a beautiful, intact village and the group will use this time for lessons, group conversations, etc.
  • On 12/22 the group will travel to Jodhpur and will begin their formerly scheduled student-led winter expedition  (more details to come from the student group!).

We are confident that the students will enjoy their time exploring Rajasthan and we will send updates as we have them!

With gratitude for your support,
