Hello! My name is Margot. I am a senior at Harpeth Hall. I am the youngest of three girls. Since I am surrounded by so many women at school and at home, gender equality is something that is extremely important to me. I am eager to learn about women empowerment in India. Additionally, I am interested in learning about the religions of India. I have been fortunate enough to travel to 4/7 continents in my life: Africa, Europe, North America, and South America. However, within each of the communities I visited, Christianity was the prominent religion. I am eager to be in a place where that is not the case and see how that affects my faith.

A goal that I have is to be fully immersed in the culture of India and open to the people that we encounter on the journey. Fortunately, some of my longest times friends will be on the trip with me but I hope that we can find a balance between support and dependency. I hope to focus on the positive aspects of the trip even if we face illness or other hardships. May our glasses always be half full. I hope to bring joy to the people we meet. I am confident they will bring joy to us.
