Hello! My name is Isabel Wrubel, but I usually go by Izzy. I’m from Berkeley, California, and I’ll be attending Wesleyan University next year. My main academic interests include Art History and Computer Science.

It seems as though I’m the first person to post an introductory note; I’m a little unsure of what to say, so I suppose I’ll keep this brief.

I determined my junior year of high school that I wasn’t prepared for college if I went straight after senior year; I needed to learn more about myself and my interests. As a result, I’ve spent my gap year doing a wide variety of things. The first semester I moved down to Los Angeles and worked for a decentralized artificial intelligence startup. January I lived in Dallas, Texas and worked for a sculpture museum. And now, I find myself here: writing a post for the Yak Boarding and beginning to truly prepare for this upcoming expedition full of unknowns.

I hope this post helped paint a rough picture of who I am and what my interests are.

I look forward to sharing the approaching three months with all of you! See you soon!
