Your I-team is gathered together, perched atop a hill on the outskirts of the Kathmandu Valley, putting the final touches on our upcoming course and making sure that everything is ready for your arrival.
By now you have read all of our individual introductions, but what makes our team unique is that we all come from completely different places in the world with different backgrounds and different experiences of this wonderful place. Shanti grew up in the diverse and bustling center of Kathmandu. Nick has experience working in education and healthcare development here. Dave, with his Nepali family and background in permaculture and forestry work here, has another cross-cultural experience. We cannot wait to share our unique perspectives with you all as you develop your own during the upcoming semester.
In addition to what we offer as an I-team, each of you also brings unique ideas, skills, and knowledge to our group. We encourage you to post your personal introductions on the Yak Board in the next few days so that we can all learn a bit about you and how you will enrich our course.
