Greetings From Coroico!

Hello everyone! We´re Joe, Brooke and Eliza and yesterday, we arrived in a small town called Coroico, approximately 4 hours north of La Paz. Today, we went on a scavenger hunt that included talking to locals about America, learning a couple of words in Quechua (an indigenous Bolivian language), and getting caught in a torrential downpour! In town, we bought some 200 grams of Bolivian coffee, which Brooke is especially excited about. We also had some really interesting conversations and even got to teach some English.

Everywhere you look, you can see vast mountains as well as lush rainforests. This morning, we took a hike to a scenic cliff and looked down at the cloud forest below as we chewed coca leaves (don´t worry, it´s not cocaine – it´s actually a very common Bolivian tradition!). We´ve been having a wonderful time in Bolivia so far and are very excited for what´s to come!
