Mekong Intro

Hey guys!!

I know I’m late with this intro but I thought it’d be better late than never!

My name’s Myles and I live in Boston currently but I’m actually from San Francisco. I moved east when I was 12. I’m 19 now and in the middle of a fantastic gap year. Prior to my gap year I went to a rigorous boarding school in New Hampshire for four years so this year of travel, warm weather, and exciting adventures has been a welcome change of pace for me.

A couple things about me:
I love dogs—I have a golden retriever and yellow lab at home. I love camping under the stars and finding a beautiful peak at the end of a long hike. I love playing sports, my favorites being lacrosse and squash. I also love bonfires and being surrounded by my friends.

One thing that’s definitely going to be hard for me on this trip is not being able to listen to music constantly. I have a really varied taste in music; I could listen to the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Kanye West, Slightly Stoopid, Travis Scott or Bob Dylan at any given moment. However I absolutely need music in my life so hopefully some of you guys are better singers than I am so I don’t have to lead the charge!

Academically I’m interested in history and medicine so I can’t wait to learn more about the secret war in Laos as well as traditional medical practices in the region.

Anyways, I’m sorry for this late introduction but I can’t wait to meet you all and see what this trip has in store for us!
