Off to Nación Q’eros!

Greetings from Ocongate! We’re on our way to Nación Q’eros, a remote collection of Quechua villages tucked away in the Vilcanota Mountain Range, the highest mountain chain in southeastern Peru.  We will be hiking from one community to the next, staying with families in small stone huts along the way.  We will have the unique opportunity to learn about the culture and traditions of the Q’eros people, who trace their lineage directly back to the Inca.

We’ll be back in Ocongate on Sunday, March 4th and then we’re off to Cusco, the historical capital of the Incan empire. Expect updates upon our return, and in the meantime we will be in regular contact with the Dragons office via satellite communication.
