Dear Dragons friends and family,
We have been in regular touch with the instructor team, and the group has been enjoying their first trek in Toro Toro National Park, a little-known jewel located in the remote inter-Andean valleys of Central Bolivia. The students experienced some rain last night but the clouds parted as they headed into their final day of hiking this morning. Today they dropped into a deep and verdant canyon (pictured!), where the landscape changes dramatically from high desert to lush foliage and flowing waterfalls. This afternoon they planned to visit a pre-Incan fortress before returning to their campsite to rest.
Tomorrow afternoon the group will return to Tiquipaya to prepare for their extended homestay, which will begin on Sunday. Our gracious host families are anxiously awaiting their arrival!
Updates from the group coming soon.
