Sabaidee from Laos! The group is adjusting very well to the slower, laid back culture that is embodied in “Laos time” as we wrap up our in-country orientation in the second country of this fluid, river-born experiential program. Our last couple days in Cambodia were spent trekking through the jungles of Mondulkiri, greeted often by waterfalls and a chorus of countless critters, and learning about the forest spirits from our indigenous Budong guide from a nearby village. Our last night in Cambodia was spent reflecting on all the places we have been in a closing ceremony, from the first night on our candlelit rooftop in the big city of Phnom Penh, to our last night bonfireside in the rugged eastern hills. With minds like water and hearts full, we flow onward…. more student yaks to come!
