Bolivia Bound!

Hello Students , Families and Friends of HIES!

This is a note from your Dragons instructors Itza and Luis to say hello from Santa Cruz! We’re here in Bolivia’s largest city preparing everything for your arrival tomorrow. We’re enjoying the warm weather and ‘camba’ traditional food as well! We imagine you all are also in the final stages of getting ready to head down tomorrow. It will be long journey but we’ll be waiting for you on the other side. Tomorrow when you arrive we’ll meet you at the airport and after a brief introduction we’ll hit the road headed for Samaipata. We’ll spend two days in Samaipata giving you the full download of everything you need to know to have a safe, fun and enriching experience in Bolivia.

From Samaipata we’ll move on to Sucre where we’ll spend the afternoon and one night. Sucre is Bolivia’s second capitol and a gorgeous colonial city. The next morning we’ll begin our two day hike through the Maragua valley. We’ll spend two days hiking before returning to Sucre and then moving on to Cochabamba.
As you can see we’ll really hit the ground running. So please make sure to rest up, eat well and arrive ready to dive into the experience. We can’t wait to meet you all and begin this adventure together!

Nos vemos pronto!
Itza y Luis
