Introduction – Eli Berman

Hello fellow travelers to Bhutan, my name is Eli Berman. I am from Weston MA a small town near Boston. I’m a rising sophomore and I’ll be 16 in September. Some things about me are that I play a lot of sports such as basketball, tennis and skiing, and I’m a big Celtics fan. I also enjoy history, current events and geography. I love to travel and I’ve have had the privilege to travel to many places such as Germany, Cuba and Iceland (which I am rooting for in the World Cup). This will be my first time going to Asia and I’m very excited. Bhutan has always been number one on my bucket list ever since I learned about their gross national happiness. I’m mostly looking forward to learning about the culture and the impact of religion in Bhutan, and learning some of the language too. I cannot wait to meet you all next week and learn about your interests in Bhutan as well. See you soon! Here is a picture of me in the woods.

Also this Sunday on CNN they are showing Anthony Bourdain Parts Unknown in Bhutan so you might want to check that out. RIP Anthony.
