Hello followers, friends, and family back home,
You should notice a number of student Yak posts that will do a much better job of expressing our time, not only during the Choro trek, but also in Santiago de Okola, our home for the last couple days along the shore of one of the most sacred sites in all of the Andes, Lake Titicaca. Endearing and illuminating, our homestay experience opened us up to the simple but fulfilling lifestyle of the agricultural community. Hopefully these photos will give you a sense of our time there.
Off to Cochabamba today before tucking in once again to rural life in Tiquipaya where students will be doing their extended homestays as well as immersive Spanish lessons. Officially just over halfway through the course now, we’re excited for students to take what they’ve learned so far and use it to drive their own experience and really sink into Bolivian life.
