4 Days In

Hey everyone, welcome to the fourth and best yak post of the day! Today marks our last day in Moulay Idriss, bringing to a close four days of nonstop excitement, and we’d love to tell you about it. When we first arrived to our host, the wonderful Zakiya’s house, we were given a warm welcome and a visit to the local Souk. That night, we were truly welcomed into her home with a ceremoney filled with dancing and revelry. Some of us got henna, and some of us didn’t. The next day, we braved the Moroccan sun and trekked to the Roman ruins of Volubulis. Afterwords, some of us took a dip in a local pool, and got to make some more local friends. At the end of each day, we always came home to a delicious dinner. Thanks to Ismail and his excellent teaching techniques, we were able to find this internet cafe to write to you all thanks to our superb Arabic skills, and a very helpful little boy. Hope to talk again soon once we reach Fez!
