The ubiquitous nature of hospitality in Morocco

In Morocco, the hospitality is key and ubiquitous. My host families both provided me with enough food to feed a village at every meal. By the end of my time in Immouzzer, I felt like I was drowning in couscous. I found that they were also willing to provide anything I needed beyond food. On the last night, my first host family arrived at the door of my second host family and whisked me away to the next town over, Ifrane, where they bought their new hostkids and me donuts and showed us around the local festival for local artisan crafts and an art gallery. I felt extremely grateful and nearly overwhelmed by the lengths my host families were willing to go to make me comfortable and I’m very glad that I got to experience that.
