My name is Jordan Tirico, and I was born and raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan. I’m doing the Guatemala Semester as a part of my gap year before heading out west to Stanford next fall. Some things I love are soccer, restorative justice, writing, and music!
I also am very into traveling (writing this from Italy halfway through a Europe trip), and cannot wait for all the new experiences we’ll encounter in Guatemala.
I’ve spent a lot of time throughout high school working in community service, and it’s something I’m super passionate about. I spent most of my last two summers in Detroit as a counselor for a summer day camp, and in Ann Arbor I’m involved with a few different local groups.
I am excited and curious and nervous about this upcoming semester, but more than anything, I can’t wait to leave my comfort zone and experience something new.
Can’t wait to meet everyone! See you all soon.
