Hi everyone, my name is Scout and I currently live in Louisville Kentucky. Like most of you I just graduated high school and am taking a gap year. I do not know what college I will be attending in the fall as I just sent all my applications out and am eager to find out. My academic passions are math, design, and photography. Outside of school I am always active; the activities I enjoy most are weight lifting, running, and boxing.
I decided to take a gap year as a way step back from school and gain a larger perspective on myself and others. I chose Nepal because of the focus on religion, and of course, the trekking. The part I’m looking forward too most is the Buddhist retreat. I was first introduced to buddhism 6 year ago, and sense then it has always fascinated me. When I was looking for programs I wanted to go somewhere that I normally wouldn’t visit. One of my main goals is to mentally push myself and I would not be able to do that if I were to attend the program in a place I was comfortable with.
Can’t wait to meet all of you!
