I really wanted to begin this post with the Star Wars episodic introduction, but Joe stole it. C’mon Joe. But it’s totally fine, I have the Great Gatsby. My name is Lena Hoplamazian! I’m a proud Chicagoan, and despite living in the Midwest for my entire life, I love being in the wilderness, particularly the mountains. I also can be found doing crossword puzzles, watching RuPaul’s Drag Race, and talking about my passion for bread. I’m a rower, a reader, a writer and a pianist. I’m looking forward to exploring all of Princeton’s resources during my next five years. Among the things I’ll miss most during my time in India are my dog, my family, Chicago’s lakefront, Brussels sprouts, and mosquitoes that don’t carry Dengue fever. Nevertheless, I’m ecstatic to be heading out on this journey for the next nine month (also nervous and anxious, and wholly grateful for this opportunity). I’d also love to shout out all the Bridge Year India folks who have given great advice and guidance over the past few days, although I promise, I’ll still make frequent mistakes and feel definitively lost at times. I’m excited to be Yakking for the next nine months, and doing my best to share our time together.
