Hello fellow travelers!
My name is Aditya and I will be one of your instructors this fall in Nepal. I am very excited to welcome you to this part of the world and I hope you too are excited for the adventure that awaits you. This is a challenging venture that each of you have decided to undertake and I know it takes a lot of courage to come out of one’s comfort zone. For this I hold so much respect for each one of you for making this decision. I want to let you know that this will be one of the best decisions you’ve made.
I am writing to you from Kalimpong, a small hamlet tucked between a ridge, located at an altitude of 1200 metres in the Darjeeling District of India. I had been conducting treks and outdoor activities for some years in Sikkim, India. Currently, I am working with Dragons and have run semester and summer programs in Nepal and Ladakh. I will be co -leading in Nepal again this fall and I am very excited to share and learn together with you. I am honored to have this amazing opportunity to explore and delve deeper into a unique aspect of life and diverse cultures alongside Sharon, Micah and each one of you.
I was born and raised in Sikkim, a land of great diversity. Over the last few years I have been travelling extensively to most of the Eastern Himalayan highlands. With Dragons I have been fortunate to travel to remote areas in Nepal/Ladakh and learn more about the diverse Himalayan tribes & their ways of life. Through these travels I have been blessed in terms of making great friends and connections. I have been able to give back to the community, connect with the land, the people and share a deeper affection for the place. I am very excited to move back to Nepal this fall and have more learning experiences with each of you here.
As you prepare for this journey I hope that you keep an open mind, remain excited, motivated and receptive to anything that comes your way. I am so looking forward to connecting with you all to begin our journey of curiosity and self-discovery together.
