My name is Esmé and I’m from Toronto, Canada. I’m 18 and graduated from high school this past June; I attended a boarding school in Connecticut. I was on the volleyball and track and field teams as well as a cellist in the school orchestra. My favourite subjects are math, economics, and philosophy. I enjoy running, baking, reading, and listening to music (especially Ed Sheeran) in my free time. I spent my summer completing my cello diploma at the Royal Conservatory of Music and travelling in Greece and England. I will be spending the second half of my gap year learning to cook and bake in Paris, and I am very excited to enjoy some authentic Indian food.
I am looking forward to challenging myself during this program and immersing myself in Indian culture. I have no experience hiking, so I have been working in my hiking boots when I take my dog for walks (which are rather short since she is an English bulldog!).
I can’t wait to get to know you all and enjoy some chai together!
