A few departure questions

Hello! I’m wondering about a few things and wanted to bring them up here.

1. Do I absolutely need to bring sunglasses? Could I buy them in-country if I really needed them?

2. How often will we have to carry both our daypack and our trekking pack at the same time? I’m in good shape but I definitely feel overloaded carrying both packs for extended periods of time (or for long distances). I can’t fit all of my belongings in my 70L trekking pack alone, and I am bringing pretty much only the essentials that were on the packing list. Honestly, my 70L alone is pretty heavy for me right now, and it only has my sleeping bag & pad, clothing and toiletries in it, along with some smaller essential items. But I think it’s got to be about 50 pounds and based on my body weight I’ve been told I shouldn’t carry much more than 30 pounds when walking for a long time. Obviously, carrying bags through the airport is different from treks (where I’ll leave some things behind, etc), but I guess I’m just wondering if there’s anything from the essentials list I could/should be cutting that might be weighing me down, or if what I’m going through is normal as a rookie and I’ve got less to worry about than I think I do! Any insights would be helpful. Thank you!

3. What time will everyone be getting to the meeting place at the airport in Miami (particularly the Dragons guide!)? I’m just wondering!

Thanks so much!
