Yesterday our group arrived in Patan after a beautifully long and dusty ride down from Kiul, where we were picked up from our six-day trek on the Helambu circuit. We will share more stories and photos soon from the trek, but for now wanted to update you all to let you know that students are settled into their first night of home-stays with their families.
We will be based in Patan for the next three and a half weeks, living with families and participating in independent study projects and Nepali language classes. We be writing poetry and touring ancient museums and talking with local politicians. Already students have discovered small chiya shops and bookstores.
We are all happy and healthy.
