Hello everyone! My name is Lauren Forgione, I’m from a small town called Woodstock, Vermont (near Killington). I’m 18 years old and taking a gap year to learn more about myself, step out of my comfort zone, and experience some of the amazing things our world has to offer. After my gap year I plan to attend the University of Arizona. I spend my time hanging with friends, photography, listening to music, playing ice hockey, a little bit of golf, and working as a line cook at one of the local restaurants.

My junior year of high school I took a 2 week long trip to Senegal, Africa. It was the first time I had been out of the country and it was a complete culture shock. I loved every moment of it and would go back in a heart beat. This program and the country of Nepal sparked my interest immediately. I’m excited to learn more about Buddhism, meditation, and immersing myself in a new culture.

I could not be more excited about our adventure that’s now just around the corner and of course to meet all of you!!
