Hi everyone!!

My name is Jake Schwob and I currently live in Connecticut. I’m 18 and just graduated high school and I’m super excited to be going on this trip with all of you! The subjects in academia that interest me would be math and science. Some athletic activities I enjoy are lifting, rock climbing, biking, hiking, snowboarding, and yoga. In my down time some hobbies I enjoy are playing music, chess, reading, and pc gaming.

My choice to take a gap year was really solidified by the fact that I don’t really know what I want to do in the future, so I would rather not just go to college blindly and would much rather explore the world we live in a little more. I chose Nepal since I love the mountains and I am interested in Buddhism and have studied it after being introduced to it in 8th grade. The part I am most looking forward to is probably the trekking because I enjoy tent camping. One of my main goals is to just push my experiential boundaries further and be exposed to new things.

See you guys soon!!
