two and a half weeks in

Something important I have noticed within every community we are welcomed to is the caring attitude Indonesians constantly express. Living with my family in Jogja I have yet to lack a necessity before my Ibu (mother), Bapak (father), or Nanek (grandmother) offers to help with anything. This is reciprocated throughout families, villages, guests, etc. We are almost 3 weeks into the trip and I have already learned so much from the people around me- lessons I hope to carry in my life where ever I am. There have been many highs and lows so far and I can’t wait to see what the rest of our Indonesia experience entails.
