Courtyards of Patan

With the absence of something to do here in Patan one tends to explore. This was the case for Scout, Jack, and I when our ISP was cancelled, we were at a loss for what to do until we finally decided to seek out and travel through as many courtyards as we could. These courtyards were originally intended to be the paths people took to get to where they were going instead of the streets, so naturally they connect through many different tiny hallways. When we began we had little success, meeting many dead ends after one or two rather small courtyards,But once we got a little further from Durbar square we finally found success. We went into 4 ancient courtyards filled with stupas and incense and finally came out to a huge courtyards of grass and school kids playing. This peaceful opening in a city filled with an almost constant chaotic feeling made us collectively have the same feeling of  joy and contentment that we had completed our self appointed goal. With a final number of 7 as the number of courtyards, we will continue exploring trying to better this seemingly low record but no promises. #DreamTeam
