Crossing the *BIG* Pass!

Hello family and friends,

Today the team called from the top of Kongmaru-la Pass, all the way up at 5130 meters/16,830 feet! They report that it’s snowy and cold, but that everyone is doing great. The student group has been healthy and strong, facing the altitude and long hiking days with fortitude and courage!

Though they didn’t have the internet to send photos, the cover photo shows the area where they camped last night and the below photo shows their descent after the pass (I took both photos when I was there with a group this summer). It’s stunning scenery for sure.

As previously noted, the team expects to be back in Leh on October 16th, and is in touch with the Dragons office at every possible opportunity until that point. Thanks for following along!
