I just wanted to let you know that the group bid farewell to China and are now safe in Laos. They are currently in Nam Ha National Park completing an overnight jungle trek where they’ll make their own shelter out of banana leaves and bamboo.
Tomorrow (Thursday) they will trek out and sleep in Huay Xai before boarding their slow boat to Luang Prabang on Friday. That journey will take them two days and they will sleep out in tents on the bank of the Mekong River.
When the team arrives to Luang Prabang (a UNESCO World Heritage site) on Saturday, they will have better access to the internet. They will spend a few days in the old city exploring before heading down to the sleepy capital that is Vientiane.
Thanks for your support and patience as always. I have included a few images of the group that I received from the team earlier today.
