Group visits a local mosque

Yesterday our crew made a visit to a local mosque, and pak Anang, the imam, or spiritual leader of the mosque, took the time to share some background information with us. He explained the difference between the two major sects in Indonesia, and shared how humanism, peace, tolerance, and an embracing of diversity form the foundations of his belief system.

On a separate note, we would like to reassure families that all is well here in Jogja, far from any area impacted by recent natural disasters. At this time we do not anticipate any changes in our itinerary due to the events.
