Instructor Introduction – Paola Flores

Bienvenidos Dragones!

I’m Paola, one of your instructors, and I send you a big, big hug from Sucre, the city where the liberty of Sudamerica was born. I grew up in this city but I was born in Potosí, one of the highest
cities in the world. I have always felt very close to the earth, in Bolivia we are always thanking the Pachamama (mother earth) for all that she gives us.

Over the past two years I have had the chance to explore Perú, Ecuador and some countries in Europe. Having this amazing opportunity has given me another perspective on life; now I am
always seeking the challenge that comes with new adventures, getting to know new ways of living, and new cultures. That’s what I like the most about traveling, I really like to feel surprised by a new landscape, a new flavor, and a new smile. I had wonderful experiences while volunteering on an organic farm in Ecuador, living in the Peruvian jungle, and picking apples in Austria. A while ago I worked with women and children who were victims of violence, giving them psychological support with a team that also provided legal and social support. This experience was very powerful and reaffirmed my convictions to help and empower women.

Now you must be very curious of what this new journey is going to bring for you. I can guarantee you that you will be in a process of constant learning, you will be far away from home getting to know yourselves in a different way. This is such a gift! I’m honored to participate with you in this process.

Bolivia and Perú used to be one country a long time ago, and that’s why we’ll find some cultural similarities in both countries at the same time each place will surprise us with their differences.
Be prepared to taste new flavors, immerse yourself into new cultures, and experience the new adventures that await us all. If you have any questions or concerns, I’m here for you. Feel free to write me at [email protected]
