Hello!
My name is Sadie and I am from a tiny town in central Vermont! I am 18 and about halfway through my gap year. I grew up in Vermont but my parents’ have always been adamant travelers, and they passed down the ‘travel bug’ to me.
I know it’s hard to explain who you are in a few short paragraphs but I’ll give it a shot! Some things I absolutely love are outer space, portrait photography, house plants, and languages (I’m super pumped to learn Bahasa!). Hiking, painting/drawing, and baking are at the top of the list as well.
In the fall, I will be going to school to study Linguistics with a focus in ASL (American Sign Language) to English Interpreting. I’ve been independently studying ASL for four years, so I’m excited to continue learning the language in a different way.
I have been working as a waitress and at a hardware store for 6-7 days/week for the past 6 months so I am SUPER ready to move onto the second part of my gap year and explore the amazing lands of Indonesia with you all!
See you all soon! 🙂
