Introducing myself

Hello! I am Maria Fernanda, I am still discovering who I am day to day and hope to never stop, but this is what i´ve got so far:

I am an art and design lover, I really appreciate beauty in all its variations and forms, even when something isn’t exactly beautiful to me but it is to someone else, I find that very interesting, that is one of the reasons traveling is magical, to me, it gives you the chance to learn from different types of beauties.

I am passionate about good stories, and all the ways you can tell one, from the story of a country and its culture, to a superhero and its adventures, (or obviously a great love story), I really enjoy a good storytelling process.

I also really enjoy photography and films, music, even though i don’t play any instruments (yet), and writing.

I am very excited for this journey we are about to start, I am excited to get out of my comfort zone, and to learn from new cultures, understand how they live and why they live like that, thus understand how I live and why. I am excited to get to know myself better by getting to know other people better.  And honestly I am excited to learn a little bit of everything, even if I don’t like it, or understand it fully, because as Robert A. Heinlein said (I recently learned from Sawyer´s post) “Specialization is for insects”.

Right now, in the middle of my gap year, this course plays a major role in my life, a kind of detox from my “little world” and an intro into a huge “new world” for me. When I get back, I will study Interior design which also has me very excited and looking forward to it.

So yeah, that’s a little about me, I am really looking forward to meet you all in person!

This is a quote from one of my favorite movies “Moulin Rouge”, and for me that it’s what life is all about :

“This story is about

truth, beauty, freedom;

But above all things,

This story is about Love”

P.S. Im sorry for any spelling or grammar mistakes, English is not my first language.
