Student Intro!

Hi everyone!

My name is Nicole and I live just outside of Washington, D.C. in Bethesda, MD! I’m turning 19 in March and am headed to California for college next fall.

My hobbies include anything marine-science, exercise (running, yoga, swimming), music, anything outdoors, and hanging out with friends. I also love watching good TV & movies or reading a good book.

I was drawn to Dragons because I love experiential education (Island School ’17!) and I think it is important to travel and experience new cultures and ways of living. I really like the program’s emphasis on conservation (I’m hoping to major in Environmental Sciences), and I’m excited to disconnect from the digital world for a few months. Although packing has been difficult (self-diagnosed over-packer), I’m excited to live with only what I can carry. I’m most looking forward to exploring Indonesia’s diverse ecosystems, especially marine ones.

I’m so excited to meet all of you in a few weeks and for all of the adventures that spring holds!
