Arrival to Orientation

After a six hours train from Jakarta to Semarang (the capital of Central Java), we were driving up to Dieng Plateu in Central Java, located about 2000 mt above sea level where we are going to have our orientation for five days, do some hikes at the surrounding mountains, visiting some temples and get to know the people here.

We got our very first real taste of indonesia and indonesian travel. Long hours of traffic and endless traffic and winding turns one after another. The scenary was unique, lots of green rice patties and brick homes. We arrived late at Dieng Plateu, so it’s going to be very interesting tomorrow morning, seeing the moutains and the rivers for the first time.

Here are few pictures of our first morning in Java! And more to come!

terima kasih! (Thank you)
